A465 HOV Road Lay-by - the Ebbw Fach Trail and other places of interest

The source of the Ebbw Fach River is the overflow from the Lower Boat Pond at Beaufort Hill Woodlands, but when the Tredegar to Brynmawr section of the A465 Heads of the Valleys dualling was completed in 2015, a large lay-by with a picnic area was constructed near the 'Highest Point' on the road.

Walking and cycling paths were created nearby, and signposts showing the Ebbw Fach Trail and other local tourist attractions were erected.
